Shereen joined Messrs. JM Tan & Co in May 2022. She has over a decade of experience in the corporate and compliance field across various industries, such as airlines, investment, real estate, management, and logistics. She obtained her LLB from Oxford Brookes University in 2007, LLM from the University of Manchester in 2008, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2009. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2010. Her expertise encompasses corporate law, banking and finance, compliance, and real estate, among others.

She was also the Head of Legal of AirAsia X Berhad which one of the key milestones she achieved was the successful USD6 billion debt restructuring. She is a qualified, competent, and vivacious Malaysian lawyer. Currently, Shereen is the Head of Legal and Compliance of Flash Malaysia Express Sdn. Bhd. based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (“FEX”). She provides legal and compliance support for Malaysia, Indonesia as well as Singapore entities in FEX.

  • RM63.5 billion debt restructuring and fundraising for AirAsia X Berhad;
  • Initial public offering of AirAsia Berhad, Dolphin International Berhad, Tune Protect Group Berhad etc.;
  • Acquisition of Oriental Capital Assurance Berhad (now known as Tune Protect Group Berhad);
  • Acquisition of Lands in China by Kumpulan Jetson Berhad;
  • Joint venture between Lion Diversified Holdings Berhad, Lion Industries Corporation Berhad and Lion Forest
  • Industries Berhad in Lion Blast Furnace Sdn. Bhd.;
